es sollte in der nacht mehr abgeschleppt werden. da werden radwege ja noch viel ungenierter verparkt - und gefährlicher ist es zudem, wenn man das nicht rechtzeitig sieht.

..schulterblick, handzeichen und spurwechsel braucht's trotzdem. und außerdem wird der gehweg ja auch blockiert. als ob's nicht genug parkplätze in der nähe gäbe, echt. beim palais liechtenstein sogar einen eigenen parkplatz..

und damit mein ich jetzt gar nicht die fahrzeuggröße sondern das unvermögen korrekt einzuparken.

aber er verstellt den MZStr., der am Ende der Ma-Theresienstr. geradeaus in den 2. weiterführt, so wie fast alle rechtsabbiegenden PKWs an dieser Stelle, bei denen das breitenmässig nicht unbedingt sein müsste. Kurz bevor ich diese Fotos gemacht habe beschimpfte hier ein Autofahrer einen Radfahrer, weil er meinte er hätte hier Vorrang beim Spurwechsel.

.. und mit ihr die behinderungen. einmal sind es die bauarbeiter, die am radweg rumstehen, einmal der truck der zu lang für den parkplatz ist und deshalb vorn (und ja nicht hinten) drüber stehen muss, einmal eben die paletten usw.

wenn der bus dort parkt (in den 5min als ich dort fotos gemacht hab, ist jedenfalls kein mensch ein- oder ausgestiegen), aber es wär halt ideal, wenn der parkplatz auch breit genug dafür wäre..

naja, schulterblick kostet zeit, aber zumindest muss man bei einem reisebus nicht erwarten, dass einem beim überholen plötzlich eine autotür ins gesicht geschlagen wird..

die parkgarage nebenan war ihm/ihr wohl zu teuer. irgendwo muss man ja sparen, damit man sich einen mercedes leisten kann..

ich kann ja auch nix dafür, dass es keine lieferzonen gibt bzw. überall diese anderweitig genutzt werden. bitte das nächste mal lieber die fahrbahn blockieren und mehrzweckstreifen und gehsteig frei lassen. ist genauso illegal, würde aber mehr beachtung finden und auf die problematik aufmerksam machen -> privatpkws in die parkgarage nebenan, dafür mehr lieferzonen.

..aber wie! zusammen mit dem seitenspiegel wird die hälfte des mehrzweckstreifens blockiert, vorbeifahren kann man nur mit überfahren der markierung (zwecks minimalstem sicherheitsabstand zu parkenden autos, der bei sich öffnenden autotüren eh nicht reichen würde), wobei man abbremsen und handzeichen geben muss, und zudem nachrang hat. einige autofahrer zeigen einem bei dem spurwechsel dann auch noch den vogel, weil sie die blockierung gar nicht bemerken, was das ganze dann noch irgendwie abrundet. danke auch.

steht übrigens öfter so blöd da, aber immer mach ich auch nicht fotos.

hat der fahrer wohl in der fahrschule. jedenfalls hat er nicht gleich verstanden, dass ich ein foto von ihm gemacht hab, weil er am mehrzweckstreifen stand.. er hat eh versucht noch wegzufahren (und dabei den mehrzweckstreifen noch mehr blockiert als vorher), aber der stau war ihm im weg ;-)

wie man anhand des ersten bildes gut erkennt, war die gesamte (!) ladezone zu der zeit frei. trotzdem entschied sich der lkw-fahrer für den gehsteig und mehrzweckstreifen. kann mir das jemand bitte erklären?

you might wonder why he's not in the car - he's on the phone in the phone box nearby. the call must have been very important. why else would somebody even think about parking on the bike lane right beside the destination and not search for a empty parking spot nearby? obviously he didn't think and rather parked on a bike lane (including parking prohibition) than on the no parking area on the other side of the road.. well sure, that would have been another 4m more to walk.. and it's illegal! so just block the bike lane, nobody will notice.. i don't know what his thoughts were, but i don't want to know either.

..and surprise, surprise - a car blocks the bike lane cause his driver is too lazy to park properly.

this lane is quite small already and the bike blocked half of it.

how can it happen that a shop doesn't need to have a loading area?

this truck blocked the whole bike lane just in front of a t-junction.. i couldn't even see the traffic lights.

a police car drove by but didn't care. and more than 10 cyclists as well. they all had to reduce their speed, switch to the car lane and take care that they are not ignored by a car passing by.

even with a small car it is possible to block half of the bike lane when parking.

..but there are bike lane violations every day.

for example this one (öllieferung) - why didn't s/he ask for a short-term halteverbotszone rather than illegally blocking the separated bike lane? where am i supposed to drive?

and it's not only the blocking that annoys me - such heavy vehicles destroy the pavement too which causes high maintenance costs.

is there any other possibility to access the bike lane in that one-way road that i'm not aware of? could be handy every now and then..

the van was illegally parked on the sidewalk. the truck even blocked half of the bike lane.

blocked the bike lane. sure, a truck is bigger than a car, but there was still some space left between the curb and the truck..

shorty after 3pm - another taxi parked on the bike lane (against the one-way street) at fuchsthallergasse near gürtel.

still, i wanted to give him a chance and went to the bank in the meantime. after 5min he was still there - right beside an empty parking lot, blocking the bike lane and a little bit of the road, just in front of a crosswalk. plain lazy! using the blinker doesn't make you disappear!!!

there are simply not enough loading areas in vienna - and too many parking lots for lazy people. i really understand their problem. but why can't they block the people who are causing this problem?

ok, the photo isn't great, but the discussion with the driver was. he just pulled over and parked at the bike lane and sidewalk (notice that somebody with a baby buggy or similar thing wouldn't even get by anymore) when i was struggling up the hill. well, of course when he saw me he told me that he has to park here now 'cause he has to unload some stuff. i told him, that i also wouldn't just park my bike in the middle of the road and walk away. and especially not when it's a one-way street (and biking allowed in the other direction on this lane).. well, that's where he ended the discussion and continued to unload. probably couldn't follow my sophisticated arguments ;-)

..i'm not too angry about these guys cause waste disposal is an important job. still - why couldn't they just block the cars and leave the bike lane empty?

that tnt guy wasn't actually parking on the bike lane. but it's also not allowed to stop on the sidewalk. and usually there are a lot of trucks there on the bike lane as well. maybe this one got "pushed away" by my daily "don't park here" stickers on the window - still to the wrong side though..

no parking, no stopping and a bike lane sign didn't stop this guy from parking at the bike lane and sidewalk. does s/he own a driver's license? couldn't ask him/her - there was nobody in the car, the reflections were caused by my flash..
